Gwynfa finished joint 10th in the 2013 Memorial Trophy with 56 points. Our scores were: Lindisfarne Castle after storm by Leigh Woolford (16), Orange Tip Butterfly on Cuckoo Flower by Heidi Stewart (15), Dead Trees Mammoth Hot Springs by Brian Sewell (10) and Juvenile Kingfisher by Alec Stewart (15). However, the competition was seemingly marred by rule infractions by several of the top clubs. Amidst much discussion over certain images on the day of the competition, it was later confirmed by Roy Thomas in WPF Newsflash that seven prints (by five different clubs) were in breach of the rules as they had previously been accepted in a Welsh Salon. Despite this, no action was taken to modify the results. The competition was won by Tenby (72 points) with Bridgend, Inn Focus and Cardiff all one point behind.
