Would you like to see your images displayed at the exhibition space at Cynon Valley Museum? If so, the 2026 Welsh Salon of Photography is now open for entry.
Gwynfa has a rich history of success in this Salon which is this year only open to members of clubs belongning to the Welsh Photographic Federation. In the last 11 years we have achieved 480 acceptances and 94 awards! If you wish to try and help us continue this remarkable success, see below.
Entries: This year there is a new online entry system using ‘Pixoroo’ software. We have looked at the software and have found it to be a bit slow and flakey. We’ve had to refresh pages to get the to display correctley, so persevere!
Categories: There are FOUR categories: Open Colour Prints, Open Monochrome Prints, Open PDIs and. for the first time ever, Phone PDIs.
Fees: The minimum entry charge is £8 for up to four images. Further images are £2 each, up to a maximum of four in each section. The maximum entry charge is £32.
PDI Deadline: PDIs must be entered into Pixoroo before midnight on Sunday 8th March 2026.
Print Deadine: Digital copies of your Prints need to be entered into Pixoroo by midday on Sunday 8th March as the prints need to be delivered to Talbot Green before the WPF AGM which starts at 2pm.
Print Delivery for Gwynfa Members: If you do not wish to deliver them to Talbot Green yourself, please bring your prints to Club on Thursday 5th March and we will deliver them to the WPF on your behalf. Leigh will bring a box to Club.
Selectors: Gordon Jenkins, Gary Shinner and Susan Ashford.
Selection: This year, there is a closed selection with no spectators.
Exhibition: At Cynon Valley Museum, Depot Rd, Gadlys, Aberdare. CF44 8DL. The museum is open to the public from 10am to 3pm Tuesday to Saturday. It is closed on Sunday & Monday. You can park for up to two hours free in the adjacent Tesco car park.
Official Opening: The Exhibition will be opened formally at Midday on Saturday 2nd May.
