Ed will explain How to take and process images using a tracking telescope. Individual 2- minute exposures are stacked to make many hours of data for each image. Telescopes are 1000mm and 2000mm focal length and range from F4.5 to F8. Use of narrow band filters help to produce a more complete image and fight against light and air pollution. The fact that the heavens do not move perceptively in our lifetime means that we can take many more images of the same object over the years and add this data to that already collected. It is a fascinating hobby, though can get expensive as you will hear!
