One Evening. Five subjects. Five photos…. and a bite to eat!

Date – Thursday 12th June.

Venue – The Gatto Lounge, 3 Gas Rd, Taff St, Pontypridd, CF37 4TH. We have booked the downstairs room from 6pm until they close at 10pm so you’ll have plenty of time to take your photos and also have a bite to eat and a coffee.

Times – Please arrive before 6.30pm to get the five subjects. Then go out an take you images. Please do not miss this part. You must attend the Gatto Lounge to take part. Don’t just get the subjects from someone else.

Note, there are entry and exit cameras so make sure you pay for enough time. The NCP phone app provides easy parking payments and reduced fees and options to extend parking. (Note, there is also a council owned pay & display car park the far side of the Bowls centre).

The Park – Ynysyngharad park is only open until 8:45pm so go there first if you want images from there.

Food – the Gatto Lounge is providing us with an exclusive area free-of-charge on the basis that we also have a bite to eat. This can be anything from a sandwich to a larger meal. Feel free to eat before you go out to take your photos or when you come back after taking them. The lounge do not mind what time we eat but food must be ordered by 9.30pm.

The Results  – will be announced in the New Inn on Thursday 19th June. We’ve booked the back room from 8pm. They will also be publicsed by email & web.

Summer Get-Together at Barry Sidings Country Park with BBQ at the adjacent Chez Ceatons. Replacing the Summer picnic, this year we have a summer get together courtesy of Chris and Deane Ceaton who live right next to the car park at Barry Sidings Country Park. There is ample parking and plenty to see and photograph. You can walk all the way up to the Heritage Centre or walk in the opposite direction for the waterfall, which will be a trickle or a torrent depending on how much rain we’ve had.

Booking – Chris & Deane will need to know if you are attending the BBQ so they can get enough food. They will be circulating a form in club and it needs to be returned to them by our last meeting before the summer break which is on May 29th.

Date & Time: June 26th. Arrive around 7pm for a walk around the country park with your camera. You can go to there earlier if you wish. Then later we’ll head up to Chez Ceaton for the food.

Parking: There is ample parking at Barry Sidings Country Park near Pontypridd. Chis and Deane live just a few yards from the car park an the barbeque will be held at their house. (You won’t get locked in the car park, Chris & Dean hold the keys). What three words navigation directly into the car park is puff.awake.update

Photos – Time permitting, there will be a small photo competition for the best image taken in the country park during the evening.
